Building an online business is tough. Very tough.
There are a lot of moving parts you need to know about and be good at to be able to build your business.
There’s traffic generation, list building. increasing conversions, course creation, outsourcing, and the list goes on and on. And each of these topics has multiple subtopics that you need to be good at.
For traffic generation alone, there’s SEO, FB ads, YouTube ads, Instagram marketing, forum marketing, and so on.
And all of this is just one part of the equation, especially when you have limited time available.
But it’s 100x harder when you have a full-time job
The thing that people don’t realize is that it takes more than learning the marketing/business building skills, especially when you have little to no budget and limited time since you have a job and/or are studying like me.
Specifically, there are 2 more important factors that will determine your success in building your business when working on it part-time: mindset and time management.
Time management is important because you will have a very limited amount of time, so you’ll need to manage your time efficiently to be able to get more done without sacrificing your life completely.
But the most important thing of all of is having the right mindset. When you start building a business and you see how hard it is, especially when there is no return on the time you spend, that’s when you’ve absolutely got to have the right mindset.
It might feel like it would be easier to just ditch everything, return to your normal life, go to work in the morning, and enjoy your life at night.
This is the one thing that I struggled with the most at the beginning, especially when I got back from my school/college to work on my freelancing business, and I saw my friends just go out and enjoy the rest of the day.
It has also been tough during the high-stress days when there was an exam and a deadline with a client and I needed to take care of both.
But my mindset is what kept me going.
If you want to know the 4 principles that helped me build my business while working full-time, I've created a mini 5-day course to show you just that. Click the big green button below to get started.
And Don't Forget The Business Part
As I said, there are a lot of moving parts and you probably don't know which one to focus on and where to learn it and how to start applying it.
Adding this to the mix will make your life a mess.
That’s why it’s not enough to just Google “traffic generation” to read all the posts about that topic. You’ll never know how to apply what you learned to build your business... especially with the limited time that you have.
Some people make it look like it’s easy to build your business, like when they post about “The Top 20 Tips to Build Your Business.” They make it sound like all you have to do is apply a few tips, and boom, you’ll be successful.
But the hard truth is that few people are getting the actual results they’re after.
The problem is not with the lack of information. There is a lot of great information out there from many trustworthy authorities.
But we don't need a lot of tips and tricks to help us build a business. After all, there’s more to building a business than just simple tips and tricks.
We Need Real-Life Case Studies
The thing that we lack is real-life case studies of people building their business from the ground to the top and documenting everything in detail.
Many people document how they have promoted a post to get 10k shares but that’s it. There is more to building a business than getting traffic, as I said earlier.
Which is where I came up with the idea of this blog.
There is a gap between what people learn about building a business and actually implementing and integrating all the parts together.
And when you factor in the limited time available because of a job/studying, things get even more complicated.
Follow Along As I Build A New Blog to Six-Figures in Revenue
I'll record everything as I do it in detail and document it for you to see as I build this new business to six figures.
I've built a successful freelancing business while studying dentistry full-time. Now I plan to take on a different, new challenge.
I'll share what I’ve learned about building a successful business in the past few years while also monitoring the success of my clients. You'll discover what I’ve learned about mindset, time management, and business building. At the same time, I'll be documenting how I'm promoting the blog and growing it to a six-figure business.
That means you'll have a monthly report and detailed posts explaining important topics when it comes to business building.
I'll share all the updates with my subscribers. A lot of content won't be published on the blog. So hop on the email list now so that you don't miss any content. And as a bonus, you'll get my 5-day course about the 4 principles that helped me build my business while studying full-time.
But Who Am I? What Made Me Start This Challenge?
If you don't know yet, I'm Ahmed Safwan, a dentistry student. I’ve been doing this internet marketing thing for more than 7 years now.
I built a successful freelancing business while I was studying at my secondary school and at my college.
I'm not a guru or expert when it comes to online marketing but I know a thing or two, having worked on growing many blogs. I’ve been featured on Entrepreneur magazine, Huffington post, Foundr magazine, Problogger, SecretEntourage and many others.
Eventually I decided that I didn’t want to continue to do freelancing even though it was lucrative. I wanted to have a bigger impact. After reading Crush It by Gary Vee, I knew I need to start a personal brand and share my story with people.
While I was thinking about my next venture, I was hooked on the idea of case studies. I liked how Groove shared every step as they were growing their SaaS program to 100k/mo and now their goal is to get to 500k/month.
I remembered back in the day when I was waiting for every monthly traffic report from Think Traffic (Fizzle now.)
But when I saw the insane value I got from Neil Patel sharing the journey of how he grew a new site in the nutrition industry to $100,000 and the value I got from Benji Hyam from sharing his traffic report as he was growing his new site Grow And Convert, I knew I needed to do something similar.
Because I got a lot out of that sort of thing. Seeing others actually doing things, not just talking about it.
Having seen everything from the inside, I know it is not that simple. There’s more to building a business than what most people share. Especially for those who want to do it on the side with their full-time job.
As I thought about ideas for a new business, I realized that people want to see more behind the scenes stuff, especially those who are doing it on limited time and budget. That’s when the idea came to me. I’ll share everything I learn as I’m growing this blog with limited time while studying dentistry full time.
Am I sure that I will succeed? Of course, not. But I have been in the trenches for a while and I hope to apply everything I’ve learned on this blog. And you can learn along the way so that you can grow your blog in an even shorter period of time.
You can read more about me and what to expect from this blog here.

What Is My Plan? Where Am I At Right Now?
My plan to build this business is very simple: build the audience and promote the right offer. I may start with coaching or create a course directly, I’m still deciding on my exact plan of attack.
But the main focus is to build the audience first.
I've started building my email list over the past few months and I have a small list of 670 subscribers mainly due to guest posting. I’ll write a post soon detailing why I did this and how I got featured on big sites like Entrepreneur magazine. Stay tuned for the post.
