Ever since I learned about conversion optimization and split testing online, I've been trying to do it offline.
I've experimented with different ways to study, different times to study and work, different daily routines, and so on.
I can't tell you about all of the "split testing" I did that helped to change my life.
But I can tell you about one I definitely don’t regret changing about my daily routine, namely, having a morning routine before I go to college.
I was always waking up early and then going straight to school/college.
But as I read the success stories of nearly all of the entrepreneurs in our fast-paced world, I saw that they all had a morning routine.
They wake up early, and do specific things each day.I
'm talking about people like Tony Robbins, Tim Ferries, etc. I remember reading one of Tim's emails where he says that he knew that every successful person he interviews wakes up early, so he ask him about his morning routine.
I thought for a second and said that if it worked for them, then it will work for me.
I tried it, and I was impressed with the results.
And this brings us to the third principle " Start your routine early in the day."
All I did was wake up half an hour earlier, take a quick bath and prepare for my day.
I was able to understand the material presented in my lectures more easily and I saw improvements in my work efficiency.
I told myself, “Man, this works. Wake up earlier and get more done. Do more of the 20% of the work that gets you 80% of the results.”
I started waking up earlier each day. Now I wake up at 5am and my college classes start at 8 am. If I'm tired or I stayed up late for any reason, I wake up at 6am.
And I really don't regret trying to add morning routine to my life.
What I really regret is not doing it earlier when everyone was talking about it.
Just a few minutes of excersice, quick bath, and working in pure environment with no distractions could help set your day to success.
But there’s one more thing that you have to have; if you don’t, no matter what you do, you’ll be wasting hours every day going nowhere with your business.
Having this thing + doing split testing in your life and taking action = a thriving business + a happy life.
So what is it?
That’s what you're going to learn about in the next email where I go over the 4th (and last) principle for having a thriving business while enjoying your life.
Until then,
Ahmed Safwan
PS. If there is one reason most entrepreneurs fail, it's due to not having that mysterious "thing."Do yourself a favor and don't miss my next email.P.P.S.What do you plan to add to your morning routine?
P.P.S. If you want to start applying this morning routine thing, I highly recommend you to check out Hal Elrod's book, The Miracle Morning. By all means, one of the best I've read in my whole life.
